Default Tillamook hatchery Questions

I gather that the winnter broodstock programs can continue, even if all volunteers? What are chances of continued spring chinook/summer steelies? Haven't heard much mention on these, is it just a given they're toast? I enjoy the summer runs especially and would hate to see them gone. Also, what does Whiskey Creek raise, springers?

Default Re: Tillamook hatchery Questions

Actually right now baitslinger, this years Wilson and Nestucca broodstock fish were collected and have been or will be spawned by hatchery personnel for now.

The Tillamook Anglers and Nestucca Anglers have submitted proposals under the S.T.E.P. program to raise the fish by volunteers if indeed the hatcheries are closed by the Governor.

We are still awaiting approval of those proposals and they will be decided in May.
