Default Thank You The Fly Fishing Shop in Welches..

for a great weekend at the Sandy River Spey Clave. This is the second year that I have attended and it was fantastic. Great food, friendship, and a lot of fantastic lessons.

Looking forward to next year already.

Thumbs up Re: Thank You The Fly Fishing Shop in Welches..

I was at the Spey Clave this morning. It was worth the visit.

More fly rod/reel/line companies were represented then at the Sportsman Show or the Fly Tying Expo.

I agree. Mark and Patti have done it again.
It's hard to believe that everything except the park entrance is free. Great weekend!

Indeed, thank you it was an increadable event. I learned more in 3 days about spey casting and fishing than I had in the last six months.
Thanks,

I was there most of the day on Saturday. If you are a spey caster, I don't know how you can afford to miss it. I have been casting the spey for quite a few years and am so impressed by the presenters at the clave. I wish I could remember all of the helpful suggestions they demonstrated but I remembered enough that my casting tonight on the Clack for steel improved a ton. New casts, much longer distances, straight lines! I wish the fish would notice.

I agree, what a great time; it is amazing! Next year I'm going to bring the family, it is time to start getting them into this. Oxbow Park is very family friendly. It's cool to see all the kids there. Did anyone camp there?

Yeah they're great! I remember back in early 2000-2003? I won a new Sage Fly Rod from them when they had a Graphic Design contest on their website. Wish they still had that contest running...
