The old, now no longer produced Krippled K # 2. DEADLY on sockeye (yup, you read that right, sockeye) in the right colour pattern, and takes down coho FAST as well.
Anyone that has a few of these hanging about, I'll gladly take them off your hands!! E-me if interested!
Cheers,
Nog

Awesome! Again I have more proof that... "No honey actually DON'T have enough fishing gear" Keep those gear and garage pictures coming, it just proves that I do have SOME restraint.

Willow Drifter, Looking at those pictures reminded me of the 1997 movie "Conspiracy Theory" with Mel Gibson where on impulse he had to buy the book "The Catcher in the Rye" everytime he went out.
You feel okay?

ET - That actually made me laugh out loud. I have that impulse. No matter what I am buying whether it is groceries at Fred Meyers or a new rod or reel at Sportsmans Warehouse I always include at least 1 Pixee or Vibrax. I am

Willow Drifter, If you can only have one color and size of those soons, for salmon steelhead. Wich on would it be? I want to get some for when I go up to neah bay. They look like they would be fun casting to the schools of pinks out in the ocean . Can you also Jig them? Thanks .....Ross

Re: So what is your all time favorite lure? PICS
For pink salmon it would be the Metallic Pink with Pink insert or the Nickel with Pink Insert in 1/2 oz. size. I have seen a lot of people use the 7/8 oz. size at Alison Point in Valdez but that is just too big for me. With the 1/2 oz. size on light tackle you can cast it a mile and you can also jig it. They are just so wonderful, so beautiful, my precious pixee...my precious....

Hey WD --- Good news. You can catch sockeyes with your Pixies too. And the best news is that any size or color works!!!

Fish Hawg - Silvers I like the 1/2 oz. size, Metallic Chartreuse with a Green Insert. You can't buy them that way you have to buy two and swap the inserts. Killer on Silvers.
Thumper....You can catch anything on Pixees. That is why I love them.

Re: So what is your all time favorite lure? PICS
I cant really decide. I love all my lures when they are burried in the corner of a fishs' mouth, but if I had to pick it would have to be an orange wiggle wart or an orange X5 flatfish slightly altered.

Re: So what is your all time favorite lure? PICS
I've caught more fish of all kinds, Kings, Silvers, Pinks and Steelhead, drifting with this combo than any other. For Reds I like a small orange/red shrimp fly. When hotshotting a drift I prefer the frog color.
In addition I like a white hotshot w/black head and tipped with a piece of worm when trolling a lake.
Walleye in the dark, from the beach, using a Long A just under the surface.

So what is your all time favorite lure? PICS
So what is your favorite lure of all time? Something you will fish just to be fishing it. I love to float jigs. I like drift roe, shrimp or just a corky. I like pulling plugs or just casting plugs. I even fly fish about 50% of the time.
The one lure I always have with me though no matter what is a Pixee. I know it is a stereotypical Alaska lure but the thing works and I don’t think there is a King, Silver, Chum, Pink, Grayling, Dolly, Char, or Pike in this State that I couldn’t catch after a while with a Pixee in a certain color, size or variation. The Pixee spoon is my one lure that just exudes confidence for me….and we all know that is the most important thing in a lure.
So what is your favorite lure? Based on the below pics you know mine.

Mine is a red Bolo spinner. I've caught steelhead, trout, and salmon on them.

Re: So what is your all time favorite lure? PICS
I was just looking at those pictures of my Pixee spoons and 3 things instantly came to my mind:
1. I am spending way too much time in the house.
2. I am spending way too much money on Pixee Spoons.
3. I will be spending way too much time in the dog house if my wife sees those.
I sure do love Pixee spoons though.
