Default WTB: Extension ladder

I need to paint my house and need an extension ladder. I'm not really sure how big of a ladder, I have a two story house that's pretty tall. 28' or 32'.

Thanks in advance.

Have you thought about renting one for the paint project?

How long do you need it? I have a 32' that I might be willing to loan short-term.

Just a heads up for you...
I borrowed a buddies LITTLE GIANT ladder....the kind that used to be advertised on t.v. when I painted my two story house. Never again!!!
The ladder was stable and strong but the thing just about killed me moving and setting it up. One of those things that you never want to touch or see again when the job is over. It was the biggest one with all the extensions in place so if someone loans one to you plan on being stiff and sore when the job is done.

I've used one like that to paint my grandson's room. The ceiling in his room is about 16'.
The ladder I used weighed a little over 50 POUNDS!
They are great, solid and stable. But as you say, moving them around is a killer.
Not to mention the leg cramps I got from going up and down the ladder. The bottom of my feet were sore too. Should have worn stiff soled shoes or boots.

I guess that where the saying comes from.........

Live and Learn

Good luck with the project.

When I painted my two story house I rented some scaffolding, it was a pain in the butt to put together by myself but man it made a huge difference. Plus it wasn't that much to rent and I was able to keep it for a week.

I would highly recomend.
