Does anyone know where you can find a good sturdy knife w/ a spoon on the handle? I just want like a 6 inch blade to cut the belly open and clip a few fens... then scoop the blood line out.

Stopped by George & Sons and they don’t know of anything... looked online at everything I could think of...

thanks for your help

Ask David Johnson. He has one . It is a cool tool for cleaning fish.

Wetaline, I've got one. Seems like I got it at the tackle store in Hammond, 5 yrs ago? It was pretty inexpensive but I've never seen another one on sale anywhere. Cheap filet knife, wood handle, spoon on the butt of the blade. The brand is wore off.

Pilar,
Fishermen's Marine has them. Two styles. I looked at them this weekend.

Gerber used to make a filet knife w/ spoon end built into the handle. I loved that knife until it got stolen from my boat many yaers ago. It was called the Coho Knife.

OOOHHHHHHHH NNNOOOOOOOOOO! You broght back memories of my favorite knife, the Geber Coho.

Too tired and dark to see, I accidently threw if out with a Chinook carcass (one of many) after a great day under the Astoria bridge. No chance of recovery.

I've been searching for another ever since.

Mike Sexton at Thorbuilt boats in Toledo Wa. has them. I believe his dad makes them, pretty custom looking and not inexpensive.

about 33 years ago a friend gave me a gerber knife, model trout-bird the blade is 3in long and about 1/2in deep and is 440-c steel. the handle is 5in long w/ a internal molded spoon. the handle has some kind of non slip finish. i don't know if they still make this model. but if they do i recommend it.
