Default Need some sawdust

Any wood workers or gardeners out there that have some sawdust (preferably doug fir) they want to get rid of? I only need a couple buckets full for mulch for my blueberry bushes.

I'm in the South Beaverton Area, so close by would be ideal.

Send me a pm if you've got some you'd like taken off your hands (er....shop floor)

Thanks!

- Joseph

If you don't have any offers, go buy a bag of wood pellets. We use them for our horse stalls and they will break up and provide you with sawdust. Reasonably inexpensive for what you're doing (unlike the horse problem).

You might also try hiting up one of the local horse facilities. I'm sure they'd be happy to help you out.

My sister has an arena and uses the wood pellets that degrade into sawdust. I can get you all the used sawdust you want.

I have a couple of the large Tupperware containers full. Probably 60 - 70 gallons. It's all clean fir from trimming out my house. If you want to come to me in Vancouver I can throw some your way.

You can also try various wood working businesses. You could stop by McCoy Millwork right down by OMSI and get plenty. It's a mix, though, a little fir, mostly hemlock, and some maple, cherry and possibly cedar mixed in. Good Luck.

I work at the Joinery in SE and we have 50lbs +/_ bags that we do various things with. Let me know if you still need some.

FYI... try to stay away from Walnut shavings if your using for garden and especially animals it has a chemical that can cause bad reactions!
