2010 Summer Steelhead Fly Fishing Challenge

Entrants are encouraged to post their photos to a separate thread showing all their photos and a description of their trip. Then just post their largest steelhead from that trip here.
Do not use this thread for commenting on entries or congratulating entrants. The moderator will remove replies that are not part of the competition.

I actually caught this fish on 5/16, posted it in it's own thread. I understand that it is not eligible for any prizes which is fine as I plan to catch several more much larger specimins.

I now know what that slight panic feeling is like when you are fighting a big fish well into your backing!
33 3/4" (measured just above the bite out of his tail) on a black articulated leach. Caught yesterday (7/18/10) on a SW WA trib.

33 inch buck taken 2 AUG on the Cowlitz. Swinging a #4 Silver Hilton (What I use when I don't know what to use.) Hardest fighting fish I've caught in two years!

After yesterdays rain I felt i needed to hit the river after class. I decided to fish a river that has been my nemesis, and has been responsible for uncountable skunkings. Today was not one of those days.
Managed two hatchery fish in the second run I fished, both came to a black Fergus skater. A 30.5" buck and 28" hen are ready for the smoker.

This one is Fethachucka 32.5 on the tape.
Despite the photo this one is only 31, yours truly.

This competition ended 15 November. The largest steelhead posted was by "Stlhd", a 35 inch summer lunker.
Sothereiwas posted the largest steelhead on a dry fly a 30 1/2 inch fish.
I will contact both winners about their prize.
