Default Porta Pizza

I have been experimenting with portabella mushrooms and came up with this tonight. Please forgive me for not having exact measurements but when I cook I just wing it. My measurement method is, a lot, some, a bit, and the like.

What I used

4 large portabella mushrooms. Four was not enough for the two of us. Next time I will make four each.

¼ green pepper, minced

Some minced onion

Pizza sauce

Pepperoni. I bought the pre sliced pepperoni at the deli section of Safeway.

Cheese. I bought the bag that has a bunch of different cheeses pre shredded

I call it Porta pizza and this is what I did.

4 large Portabella mushrooms, remove gills and stems.

Place on broiling pan gill side down and broil for about10-15 minutes. This helps remove some of the moisture in the shrooms.

Remove from broiler. And place on cookie sheet gill side up.

Heat oven to 425.

Put pizza sauce on each shroom, use some but not a lot. I got some pizza souce that comes in a squeeze bottle it worked good.

Add cheese, green peppers, onions, pepperoni and then some more cheese on top. I used plenty of cheese because I like it. My control group said I should use more pepperoni next time.

Cook for about 15 minutes.

Enjoy.

If anyone tries this please let me know how it was or how you changed it.

Thanks
LL
