Hi Does anyone fish from the Bank on Sauvies Island? Or will we be wasting our time?

The big beach begins ~11.5 miles from the bridge on Reeder Rd, you do need an ODFQW parking permit. A bankie said he saw on Monday, when the tide was running good, about 12 fish for about 30 rods in three hours.

I saw two caught in 20 minutes yesterday, at social security beach. Its on the columbia side. There on stairs on the right side of the road, its just before the signs that say clothing optional. If you leave before daylight watch out for deer. My dad almost hit one last year. The outgoing tide is the only time worth fishing. Dont forger to get your parking permit.

Make sure you have enough weight so you dont get tangled with other peoples lines. The best thing is to go see what they are using before you go fish, thiw way you will have less problems with others as well as have a better chance of a fish.
