Default Brown report

At the end of their 5 day trip to Oregon chasing trophy rainbows and browns my nephew Guy Carl and his father in law Reed stayed with us Tuesday night. Guy shared a few pics with me and I thought I'd share them on here. They fished Klamath Friday and caught a few nice rainbows to 6 lbs, then Crescent with me on Sat and Sun and Reed got his 1st brown. Then on to Wickiup in the windstorm on Monday where they each got a 6lber.

Then on to Paulina Mon afternoon where it still looks more like winter than early May.

They fished most of the day Tuesday finishing with 10 smaller browns with a 20" being the biggest.

Reed said Guy almost killed him between the nasty cold, whitecaps, wind and relentless hours on the water......and he can't wait till next time. Guy's 25 year tradition of trips to Central Oregon continues.

Wow, looks like another good trip for your nephew Glad to see they did well on Klamath, she has been pretty stingy this spring. Thanks for the report.

Beware that sometimes loooooong periods of time can go by between fish when chasing big browns. I was shutout on the opener at Wickiup. 3 guys and 4 rods in 7 hours for nada.

Great report Joe! Love the pics. Both of those browns are dandies! Sounded like a pretty successful trip in brutal weather!

FOB,
You are absolutely right! When you think you got those guys figured out........then nada. That is why they are so fun to fish for.

Saw a picture of a 21# brown at the south twin resort that came from Wickiup last friday. Beautiful fish. Our biggest was 22in.
