Default OUT OF THE CLOSET

On Saturday I went Springer fishing with long time friend and Northwest Premier Guide Lance Deuth (Pacific Coast Adventures), BI and Yellow Dog. I thought that it would be a trip like so many that I have been on before, but I was wrong. I did not know that we had a virgin in the boat.
Yellow Dog, who I had not fished with before, had been chasing the Pacific salmon for 12 months with out success. His life would now be changed for ever. Late in the tide his rod dipped in to the water. With line pealing from the spool he picked up the rod and guided the fish right to the net. After he landed the fish I learned that it was his first salmon. He started with a dandy - 18lbs. It was our 5th of the day. Old Yellow Dog had another chance but decided to take up farming instead of fishing.

Great job Yellow Dog on your first Springer -
