Choices, choices, choices!
Steelies on the coast, steelies in the valley, springers in the Columbia, Willamette and maybe on the coast, smelt just about everywhere, sturgeon in the Colubia and in the bay ... what's a poor fishing boy to do?
Lets look at the constraints. Coastal rivers are low, but likely to come up quick if the forecast warm front hits the snow. That could push the rivers up too high or dirty them up. The smelt are thick, putting sturg off the bite in most, but not all areas. Will the wind put the good spots out of reach? Will the springers bite in the cold dirty Willamette? Could I find one in the Columbia? Dang, I hate having so many outstanding fisheries to choose from!
