At least go for the more durable Corporate 8.25.
I have a rare Dana 44 (3.54 open) core out of a 1988 Cherokee.

It is made for the same application so the spring perches and shocks mounts should match up.
It is possible that you may have to adjust the length of the driveline. This is easily done at a driveline shop or a used driveline could be utilized.

Check with Leonard's in Hillsboro....they should be able to verify any fitment issues :
