Default Trout jigs

I'm trying to plan a trip over to the snake river, idaho falls area, for this summer. Many years ago I remember having great success jiggiing with something somebody gave me resembling a weighted muddler minnow, tied on a jig head. Anybody know who might carry such a thing?

It's a Bass fly any good fly shop should have them if they outfit for fish other than just trout. The Patient Angler in Bend has some nice ones. Also RiverBum online has them. They work great on River bass and trout.

Actually, there has been a surge in folks using traditional trout flies tied on jig heads - muddler minnows, woolly buggers, assorted nymphs - and they're all very successful. Check Cabela's - I think I saw such jig/flies in their catalog last time I got one.

Or you could get a fly tying kit, some jig heads (I'd get 1/64, 1/32, 1/16, and 1/8 oz) and make your own.
