Just wanted to let you all nknow... we got the results back from calebs mri.
when caleb was about 2 yrs old, i was elk hunting over east and was gone for about 2 weeks. in one of the famous check in calls from the outback store in granite, my wife informed me that caleb had taking a header into the metal stripping that is underneath the drywall on the corner of a wall. split his head wide open. i asked her if he was "with it". she said he was pretty calmed down. but, did not know what she should do. i told her to keep a close eye on him and make sure to not let him go to sleep for awhile. throw a couple of butterfly bandages on it and maybe a lil super glue. the same thing a dr would do. cept, we would save on a huge dr bill.
well, when i got home (5 days later) i was shocked at the size of the goose egg he still had on his noggin. we did have a dr check him out and he said we did the right thing.
fast forward to a couple days ago... the dr told us that he had fractured his skull slightly and there was some scar tissue remaining... good news is that he was 100% positive that it had been reducing in size since the incident and would continue to do so.
no nurological disorder, no epilepsy no long term worries. he said he is 100% healthy... would never have to take medication and the scar tissue should be 100% gone in the next year!!!
we tried to beat ourselves up for not taking him in... but, we are just to grateful for the prayers and the fact that God is so good!
thank you guys and gals so very much for keeping caleb and our family in your prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
