Hello folks.........
I have been lurking about for a short time reading posts that bring back some great memories of growing up in Ore., and spending quite a bit of time on some of the often mentioned rivers. I thought I'd introduce my self and say hi to the board. I have been in the guiding and outfitting business since 1977 running fishing and whitewater trips throughout Utah, Ore, WA, CO, AZ, ID, BC and a few trips south of the boarder to warmer waters. My main bread and butter was the Middle Fork of the Salmon, Hells Canyon, Lower Salmon and some of the runs in Utah. Aflicted with the kayaking disease gave me the opportunity to explore some of the more remote areas of the Columbia R gorge and Cascade ranges in my spare time. Now I live in Sumner WA and am owner operator of Puget Sound Fly Fishing which is the only, full time fly fishing charter service for the Puget Sound region year round.
I still manage to wet a line around October at the Ore. coast at our family renunions. Thanks for the great stories and info from the board even though I get twinges of home sick....its still just a couple hrs away.
