Gonna load up the twins and the old man and head for green peter tomorrow. Just wondering if there are any recent reports/hotspots anyone wants to share This will be the first time in about 10 or 15 years ive been there so any help is appreciated. Know how to get there and what to use just not sure where to use it Thanks in advance, MH

Fishing was slow i would say...but we did manage to get 1 nook and two kokes and lost 4 or 5 nothing really seemed to work better better then anything else. we did have a triple up which was complete madness only got one of the three. Re: Any Green Peter Reports??
Going to give it a try on Monday. As always, any day fishing is better than a day working.

Re: Any Green Peter Reports??
I'm no expert, but the last two weekends have only seen one trout for us. Talked to some people at the launch and they had similar experiences.

Re: Any Green Peter Reports??
Posted on another thread - this was on saturday.
"We landed 2 kokes and 2 bow's (released). Hooked but lost 4-5 kokes. Had 4-5 drivebys that were gone before we could get to the rod. Hot lures were an orange and gold wedding ring and brass blade and a craft-store special (4 metalic blue beads then two silver beads then a wedding ring type blade). Both were tipped with pink gulp maggots (big fan of this stuff now). One had a sling blade in front and one had a flashlite troll in front. Fish were caught between 15-30' along the shore on the backside of the island."

Re: Any Green Peter Reports??
Fished most of the day Monday. No bite near the Island. Slow bite up doward the dam. Wife, as usual, had the hot rod but only managed 2 to the boat with 8 lost. Also picked up a couple of small trout. Fish lier showed several large schools but never got bit around them. All the bites came from areas showing no fish. Home made pink 'rings with a glow bead center was the best behind silver cow-bells.

Re: Any Green Peter Reports??
Fished GP last Friday the 23rd. I don't know how to catch koke's, but we did manage two limits of trout, and farmed off a few more in the process. We used all kinds of lures and scents and almost anything worked. Cripple lure behind a sling blade, hummdinger, blue fox, panther martin..... We had 'em flatlined behind the boat, but waaaaaay back. Sometimes 300 feet or more, doing the zig zag thing. We were south of the island along the main shoreline, near the floating outhouse, and there abouts. Trying to get my wife to go with me on Friday again, so of course I won't be able to catch anything then!
Best of luck,
Pete

Re: Any Green Peter Reports??
Fished Green Peter today by myself. Did fairly well, boated 19 lost at least nine. If I hadn't been screwing around trying to boat them without a net I would have limited. Nice size, most 13-16 inches.

Headed to GP again this morning. Looks like a rainy day. Guess I will throw in the side curtains...

Re: Any Green Peter Reports??
What depth were you catching them at? Those look like some nice size fish for this time of year. Nice work!

I was fishing the shoreline 5-15' depth. Green UV hoochie was hot In the AM. Purple when that died off then pink UV hoochies the rest of the day. Fished 50' behind the boat. Crawfish/anise scented corn.
Only boated nine keepers today plus a bunch of trout which went back in the drink... Weather was nasty! Strong Wind with much stronger gusts, rain sideways, hail no water spouts though, thank God!

It was a miserable day. Only brought to boat 9 not counting the several rainbows we released. Only two other boats on the water and both of them called it early. I was so tired when i got home from fighting the wind and waves I melted on the couch and was soon in bed. Not a day for the light of heart or small boat with no top. I wish I would have thrown in the heater and the back curtain as well.
