Default lake fishing Q...

What lake would you chose if you were going to take a vacation in June or July? It needs to have easy access for a 19 foot Trophy or access to rented boats that will hold two adults and two kids 8&9 YO.

I live in WA state so that is the preferred state but stuff to do besides fishing is important as well.

Wow... 150+ viewers and no one besides Salmonsteelheadsam (Thanks man!) had a comment? Whats with that???

Since the question was asked, I saw that the Northwest Sportsman magazine had a bunch of suggestions on lakes rivers etc. I bought it and read the article. You other 150 viewers should too, it was an enlightening read.

I'd say Steamboat state park on Banks Lake with Rufus and Roosavelt (sp?) close buy to fish, but the only other things I know of is the Lazer show on the day and hiking Steamboat. The light show is gr8, but only about 2 hours . just don't know what else to say to keep the kids going. Water toys?

Banks Lake/Steamboat Rock are quite a hall from Long Beach. Lake Mayfield or Riffe Lake is a nice area, good fishing, boating, camping etc.
They have all kinds of rentals and about an hour from Longview/Kelso area so maybe 2 - 2.5hrs from LongBeach.

Crane Prarie can be good in July. I think it's a 10 hp limit. East lake and Paulina are good later.

+1 for Swift should have plenty of action to keep 8 & 9 year olds interested.

Odell or Crescent or Diamond would work but too cold for water sports.
