Default Hoover fish

Went to Kelly point with "freckle" Sturgeon fishing , fished all the usual places and then some, not even 1 BITE :depressed: Used fresh smelt, fresh smelt with shrimp, fresh smelt with shrimp--injected with shrimp oil  I know where the beef is I just don't know where the fish are. Talked to a fisherman at The Fly Shop in Welches on my way over to the Dechutes today and got the same report from him. no bites....  Where were the fish (sturgeon)Saturday 2 March 2002????????????????????? Trout fishing on the Dechutes was so slow I went to Wamic and looked for some greydiggers to way lay....

If you are not getting bites, move. move every 20 minutes or so. even 50 yards can make the difference. go where you would never expect one. sometimes being reminded about the little things can help.
look on shelves, divits, flats, deep holes, front ends of holes, back ends of holes.
Check the tides. we had great success on the low slack tide and through the incomming tide on thurs last week. got two keepers on low slack. just a few bites the rest of the day, but we kept moving. i think that's most important. keep moving.
We also had more bites using a small amount of bait butter. I believe it worked. give it a try sometime.
