Default Have You Ever Seen an Angel

Just thought i'd share an experince my daughter had, my father inlaw passed away awhile ago, my daughter was 5 at the time, while sitting in church during the survice my daughter turned to me and ask dad what is that light? where i replied, up by the cross she said, not seeing it my self and with a funny feeling in my stomach i turned to see if the sun was comming through the window, it was not, so i looked to see if the lights were reflecting off something, nothing, so i asked her what it looked like she replied a person standing there with there arms by there side, showing me with here hands turned upward, she was a bit confused, i told her it must be an Angel, and with a big smile on here face replied grandpa must be in heaven

How lovely that your daughter has eyes to see what we adults may have forgotten how to see.

Exactly. As adults we become so jaded and polluted we cannot see what the innocent soul sees.

take comfort. God and his angels are here with us. I am convinced!

Thats a great story and an amazing thought.

I do not know if I have seen an angel however 1 time in Iraq when doing a patrol I was standing out the top of an LAV that was transporting my squad from a raid we just did when I noticed the LAV slowed down to about 10 mph...as we were coming up to an overpass...dont ask me why but I looked to the side and saw this big brick shack that Iraq's sell ice out of along the road when I thought to myself "wow thats going to hurt if thats an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) I then put my hands up over my face to block it and it went off....time froze I saw a huge bright white light cover me sound went numb and there was nothing moving or making any sound and I thought to myself "damn they finally got me" then everything went back into real time I felt the blast and heard the shock......the blast was so big that it picked the back end of the vehicle up and into the other lane..I believe LAV's are 17 tons....the side of the vehicle was on fire and 3 other Marines that were poped up as I was lost there lives and were completely torn to shreds.....when time froze and I had that thought I felt safe and althought the vehicle was destroyed and 3 Marines lost there lives I was exposed from the waist up and walked away with only almost loosing the tip of my finger.....I dont know what happened or how to explain it but to see the carnage that vehicle went through the size of the blast and how badly the other 3 Marines were and for myself to only have 1 small injury it has made me scratch my head and think what really happened every day.
