Default newbie overboard

Hello all-

First time poster, long time reader...just wanted to introduce myself and say I love the site. I don't know a thing about river fishing (grew up fishing 'eyes and crappie in MN) but can see that this is the place to learn. One question - had a sturgeon trip planned tomorrow (sat) and with this run of weather was like a kid on christmas eve...came home tonight to find that my guide had bailed on me! How often does that happen? oh well, somebody let me know what I missed.

Isn't there a Sturgeon Tournement Saturday, that might be the reason. There were a few posts about it.

Welcome eats!
I can't give you any fishing information. I don't get to fish anymore. All my friends are out fishing, and I'm home sulking.
