Default lbc 4/17-18

After class our group got up early and headed to lbc.

The trip over was a bad start as I aquired a deer for a hood ornament.

Launched at 8 and we had a good bite for an hour horizontal jigging at the point just outside Perry south

After lunch we caught a few vertical jigging by the no wake buoys.

At dark we had a lights out bite inside the Perry south cove. Fish hitting every cast for some of us. We finished the day with 20 ranging from 9-12 inches.

Fishes the same spots this morning and had 8 before we had to leave at 11:00

Pink/white jigs caught the fish.

Water temp at the surface was 48 in the morning and 53 by the afternoon.

Thanks for the report, I was a little worried because we hit a couple spots down the arm for an hour on Sunday morning as a recon mission for the upcoming kokanee derby and got only 1 bite. I thought if we went up we could have caught fish but the kids then wanted to fish for bass. We threw a few grubs around the island and then ran up the crooked river arm. The water up there was a mess tons of floating debris loads of weeds and the water itself was a really gnarly brown color, and at 52 degrees I was not surprised that we got three bumps and no hook-ups.

Yes as usual I was out fished.

I should have added we trolled for 2-3 hours without a hit. Had the surface to 80 feet covered.

The no wake buoys I was referring to are the ones by the homes on the metolius arm. The best bite there was at the buoy the farthest from the homes in 40-50 feet of water with corn on the jig.
