Default Native Steelhead retention (The Truth)

OK,

Here is the truth regarding retention of Native Steelhead according to ODFW regulations...

SouthWest Zone Regs

As you will read in the "Special Regulations" section of the regs: "Only Adipose fin-clipped steelhead may be kept, except as noted under Special Regulations for the mainstem Chetco, Elk, N. Umpqua, Pistol, Rogue, Sixes & Winchuck rivers and Hunter & Euchre Creeks. Where allowed, no more than a total of 1 per day & 5 per year non-adipose fin-clipped steelhead may be taken per year statewide...

There you have...as written on page 30 of the Regulations...

Tight Lines All...

WW,

Funny thing now is to see the mad scramble to these rivers...

Who knows, maybe I just helped out the economy of Coos County....

Hey Ty & WRO ...you guys are officially "Acquitted"...I had no doubt you would be....

Keep on bonking them guys...If the rules say you can then have at it...You guys were being tried unjustly by an uninformed public...

More power to you and your great fish catching abilities

This is regards to Ty, I dont know you personaly, but I would like to thank you for all of your posts you have made and pictures. I would like to encourage you to continue posting your pictures, helpful hints, rigging techniques ect.. Please dont let a few ruin it for us guys who enjoy your posts. Your career path that you are taking is as I see it a passion. You will get a job doing something that you love to do.

I just have a feeling that you have been bashed a lot lately and you might be considering not posting pictures anymore. A lot of the old school Ifishers have quit posting pictures for this very reason. Dont let it happen to you. Post and be proud.
Keep doing what you love and keep the pictures comming. I know there are a lot of us that like to see them.

Lets think postitive IFISHERS.

Seems to me he could have saved himself from being set ablaze if they would have said it was caught on the south coast in the first place or on a native retention river and still not have given the exact location away.
