Default Hungry Sturgeon for the big dance

I'm hoping that the bite turns on for Saturday. My last two trips have been real slow compared to the trips I have had all year. I have been used to putting 30 fish to the boat with keepers to tag and release. The last two trips were working hard to put 10 fish in the boat and catching small skinny keepers. I guess we will se what happens. I hope we have some cloud cover tonight, maybe that will keep them from gorging till wee hours in the morning. See ya........

Team 141 is the team to watch. We got and ace in the hole.

And Chris, remember, if you don’t catch a sturgeon, bringing a springer to the weigh in isn’t going to help.

See ya on the river bro’!

Watch out for the team in the big red sled! Maybe we can put more than one keeper on the board this year, so far my team is jinxed for this derby! Fishing was real slow this week, to many baitfish in the river I think!

Cya guys on the water!

Been slow for us too! Was at the glow hole yesterday got about 10 fish released a good one that I would like to have for Saturday. The dam gill netters are hamering the StHelens area. They better stay out of my way Saturday or the filet knife will be cutting line. Had one of those bozo's drop above me and net my bouy and boat and got some fishing gear to. What a dumb$#@

TeamYeehaw - were those sturgeon gillnetters you ran into? I know the springer netters are tangle tooth nets.

I am curious if you saw netters after springers or sturgeon in the ST Helens area??

Sounds like they were successfull in netting you, do you think they were they targeting you?
