Default Looking for info on where to stay at Stilcoos lake.

I see there are several campgrounds on the lake and was looking for recommendations. I will be traveling with a truck camper, pulling a 18’ boat with Wife and 9 year old daughter who loves to fish.
Looking for a place with playground and moorage if possible.

Thanks,

Also any tips on fishing the lake will be appreciated as well.

I posted on the bass board. I'm to crapy of a typist to do it again. E-mail me for more info on the area if you'd like.

Hi lives to fish,
I haven't been down there in a couple of years but
Here is a url to site that has allot info on all the campgrounds in the area. http://www.gorp.com/gorp/resource/us...r/fis_dune.htm
I would recomend any national campground in that area. The state campgrounds suck! They are expensive and are full of gear heads. This is one of my favorite campground down there Tahkenitch across from the lake by that name on 101.

Have a great time in that area

We like to stay at Fish Mill Lodges in Westlake. They have some nice cabins, a small RV park, boat ramp, etc. Across the lake are Nightingale's, but it's a pretty good haul to get there, and Ada is farther yet. The wind always seems to be blowing at Ada.

I believe the state record coho came out of Siltcoos.

Anyway, Fish Mill Lodges has a web site: http://members.tripod.com/~fishmill/homepage.html

It's hard to beat the perch fishing there in the fall. Best luck we've had is the arm by Nightingale's, catching perch and catfish. Wherever you stay, you should have a good time.

DK,
Thanks, I have that book. It is just that there are so many places, I was hopping to get info about which places are good picks and which ones to avoid. I would hate to make reservations, go all the way down there and find out I picked the worst place on the lake.
Thanks for the offer to fax though!

To all who have posted, I really appreciate all the info.
