Default Kokanee class was great!

Just got home from the kokanee class. Lots of good info and enough swag to make the class basically free! How am I going to get any sleep now with visions of limits running thru my head?

Took this afternoon's class. I've caught a few kokanee in my short 56 years, but I easily doubled my working knowledge of the current techniques that consistently result in putting fish on the BBQ. Nice job guys!

Big thanks to Moknots and the others for a great class. Learned a lot and had a lot of fun too. Hopefully this weather will get things going soon.

During the class there was a discussion about a post on ifish referring to the top 13 things to know about catching kokanee. Does anyone have a link to that post?

Thumbs up Re: Kokanee class was great!

Thanks Moknots and crew, you guys did a great job. Wife and I were at the Saturday evening class, very informative for this amateur Kokanee catcher wannabe. Lets see,,,,,,items needed: downriggers, new sonar, poles for jigging, poles for trolling, every jig imaginable, oh yea, a lake boat too!

Attended the class both Friday night and Saturday afternoon and picked up some great information and tips from both sessions . Moknots, eric71m, nwsoftball, and fallriverguy - you guys did a great job and I thank you for your time, willingness to share information and experiences, and the effort to get all the free tackle you passed out from the various tackle companies that helped sponsor the classes . Top notch information, great presentation, and best of all a good bunch of people in both classes. Looking forward to paying attention to the details and hopefully getting some Kokanee in the near future. Good luck to everyone on your upcoming Kokanee trips .

Thanks Guys
My wife & I attended the Saturday evening class and learned lots. We came away knowing we need a new fishfinder as well as downriggers. I hate to think what kokanee is going to cost per pound for a while! It was a great, informative class, and we really appreciate your efforts in the presentation.
I need more tackle and tackleboxes.
Great Class!!

Not only was the information great, the presentation was also done very well. Lots of times knowledgable people have trouble transfering that knowledge to others less versed in the topic, but Moknots, NWSoftball, Eric71m, & fallriverguy did a great job.

When Moknots snapped the leader off that rod and handed the rod and reel to that little guy, I just about stood up and clapped. Just plain cool.

And that Suttle lake lodge is pretty darn nice too!

Thank you all very much.

I will have to agree with the other posters that the class was great. The guys worked very hard and all ifishers should be very proud of them. I would also like to say " thank you " to the hosts at the Lodge at Suttle Lake. It has been a very long time since I have seen that kind of customer service and would recommend staying there to anyone.

Great job guys !!!

Yep, that was really cool. Kudos to all the presenters for this very informative and fun class. I appreciate all of your time and efforts to make this class happen.

Learning more about kokanee fishing is almost as much fun as the fishing itself.

Fall River Guy: I enjoyed talking with you and sharing how much money your tackle box pictures have cost me!

The class was very good for me as well. Glad I made it, but not as glad it was last year Would have needed another tackle box if I could have made it this year. And my boat won't hold all the Kokanee rods I already have. MoKnots your another bad influence... TL

Thanks all, for coming, and for the kind words! Heck, I'll even take "bad influence" as a compliment. It just means I am taking one for the team by giving you someone to blame your hopeless state on

Just talked to the Lodge events coordinator. Next year they will close the lodge for us and give us the big room down stairs so we have enough seats. Kendall, April next year.

Moknots,

We need to work on your negotiation skills. Like maybe free beer and pizza.

I have to admit the lodge is very nice.

That sounds great. The class was great and my wife and I loved the lodge and room. We even ventured down the boat ramp at the opposite side of the lake to watch some very determined anglers trying to put a kokanee in the boat using their newly-acquired knowledge and techniques.

Many thanks to Moknots and crew (Eric71m, NWsoftball and FallRiverGuy) for the wonderful class. My two sons and I were in the Saturday evening class and we fished our hearts out the next morning but did not have any koke action. We did manage to net this nice 3.5 lb brown however on our kokanee gear.
