coffenberry lake ?

has anyone been by coffenberry lake yet this year ? I have been thier 2 times and enjoyed catching the trout and now my kids are all over me to go back! have they started planting that yet ?

this year me and a couple buddies are going to do a #2 test micro light trout derby! we all have kids and want to make it where the kid has to catch the first limit then the dad's can get after theres with the kids steering the boats! ( all old enough to manage a electric motor ) then see who puts up the biggest total . It should be fun with 1-4 lb micro light rods and each pair will only have 1 rod so it should be a good time. But now I need to know what time of the year you all with more experiene here think is best ? ? I have fished it in July and June and both months seemed fine. I am leaning towards mid June..

The week of June 14th Coffenbury Lake is scheduled to get 2,000 pounder trout planted according to the ODFW 2010 stocking schedule. So you might want to wait until the following week for tourney.
