I havnt heard of any yet. Best bet is along the highway or take a rowable south of the hwy into the sloughs for the bigguns. Its best to go south of the steel train bridge.

Fern Ridge seems to have never recovered from the draining for dam repairs. I've been searching the internet for something current about the health of the fish populations, but have had no luck. I live in Florence now and seldom get the chance to really check it. I tried yesterday for about 4 hours with nothing. It breaks my heart. There should have been a lot of surface activity, from roiling Carp to Bass slapping the surface. There was nothing. The Osprey nests seem to be all empty except for the one at Coyote Creek that is amazingly, occupied by a Canada Goose. The Osprey here in Florence already have chicks.
