Default Electric trailer brakes

Hi everybody!! My name is Don and I am brand new to the IFISH family.. I hope I can get some feedback on whether I should convert my tandem axle boat trailer from surge to electric brakes.
boat and gear is around 5000 lb. I don't feel like I am getting any help from the surge brakes when I am going down hill.
thank you in advance for your input.
Just call me Goose.

I love electric brakes but would advise against disk type.

You can fine tune the controler and get just the right amount of force.

Curtis Trailer in Aloha/Hillsboro have complete sets for about 100 per side. Get a controler any yer set.

They are easy to work on too.
