Default Rio mdern spey casting DVD?

Got a nice little Cabelas gift card from work and thinking of treating myself to a spey casting DVD. Specifically the 'Rio Modern Spey Casting' DVD.
Any reviews? What I read on spey pages was all good.
Thanks

I have one of the original Jim Vincent RIO spey videos ("International Spey Casting") around here somewhere. I thought it was very well done.

I can confirm that RIO's Modern Spey Casting DVD is well worth the money. Three DVDs packed full of information regarding all styles of Spey casting.

If you're looking specifically for Skagit casting, I suggest Skagit Master with Ed Ward. It's a fun DVD that really emphasizes the sustained anchor cast.

It does have skagit instruction with McCune/O'Donnel and also a Perry Poke demo from Ed Ward. Also mentions the underhand technique...
This is by far my favorite video. I have learned things from Hazels' video as well though, so get your hands on as many as you can.

I have the video and think its very well put together. A trick shared with me by TwoFister: take the bottom section of your spey in the house on cold evenings for practice as you wwatch the video.

I happen to be watching it right now. I'm enjoying it and it's got a great amount of info, and it's very easy to understand.

FYI, I checked it out from the Washington County Library System.

To wrap this thread up, I got the video and it is well done. Covers all types of spey casting, with enough focus on skagit for me. I haven't fished since I got it, but have been following moman's suggestion and I truly believe this will improve my use of the long rod.
