Default Portland Springer/Sturgeon 2/27

Put in at first light to find a few willing sturgies. I fished from the punchbowl, down around 40, and on down to 33 without a bump. We ended up anchoring by the cranes and hitting a few fish. We put a 44 inch on a rope and released a 42 inch tagged fish. Pretty slow day on the river for sturgies, we boated about 10 fish for 4 hours of fishing. I didn't see anyone else doing anything.

We trolled around for awhile in some greener water looking for a Salmon or two without any luck. We ended up calling it a day and trolled our way back to the ramp when I heard that plastic creaking and drag peeling. After a hard fight we ended up with a 20 pound beauty  She was caught on whole behind a flasher. My first springer of the year

I saw about 15 other boats trolling but no nets flying. Man I can't wait until those springers get thick........
