Default Trollin for Springers?

Hey Gents (and lady folks)having never fished springers but lots of fall salmonm, is trolling for springers done? I am headed to the mighty Columbia friday for sturgeon and thought I'd do a little salmon fishin too. When trollin what depth? Is out tide better that in? Against the tide or with it? Any thoughts? Thanks.... The warm sun, the purr of the trolling motor, the rod tip slightly tapping with each roll of the herring, fish on the sonar...oooooh, what could be better!?

I like your description but you might be missing the fish on the screen. Sounds like the nets are in on the Columbia, you might just stick with the sturgeon.

But to answer your questions in coming tide is better for trolling, I like to troll down stream but both work, and the depths range from 10 to 35 feet deep.
