Default canby pond report 4/11/10

Well we went to the pond today.. Fishing wasnt great but it was good ended up with four fish total (plenty for dinner) and had a fun time. Started with the usual bobbers and pautzkes whish didnt even get a sniff So switched it up to Chartreuse power bait off the bottum with about a 18-24" leader and it was on. But was short lived i guess...Got four fish in about 20 mins then couldnt get them back on the bite. Oh well it was fun anyways heres some pics.
Emma got the first one today

then a low in the acttion

Then it got to busy to get the camera out so heres some pics from home.

And yes my little girls do clean their own fish under imediate supervision of course

These little filets will be good off the trager yummy

Thanks for the report. I don't have little ones any more but love to see the kids at the trout ponds having fun, keep making memories they grow up fast.
Also I love your cleaning table did you make it or buy it?

One of my kids reeled in a "double" yesterday. Some how the trout got wrapped up with a catfish that had broke off someone's line at the splitshot. They kids thought it was great.

We used powerbait off the bottom, but the leader was more like 4'3".--exactly the same length of leader as my 8 year old is tall. (he thought that was cool) Caught a couple limits that way. Great photos with the girls!

Great tip and report! Thanks for everyones help, without participation the pond will go in the wrong direction. Success is key to a great trip!
