Default Honda 8hp not peeing strong

I noticed while on troll that the stream of water from my kicker didn't seem as strong as others around me. I was running it as slow as possable and noticed it got stronger as I reved up. It ran perfect all day just a question I had. I bought it used last year so still learning the ropes. I would ask Todd but he's a drunk

I have a 8 hp Honda that is the same way. I bought it new a couple years ago and its always been that way. It has not been a problem. I have heard from others that its not unusual.

It could be age related. Did you check its' prostate valve?

get a paper clip and roto rooter the tube. I picked up a piece of junk that went through the motor and got stuck. Doesnt take much.

Might be the thermostat, they often have the incorrect one for our region. My Honda 8 had one that was for the tropics, found this out because of the habit of "making oil" in the colder springtime waters and having puke all over the boat when I ran tipped it up to run on the main motor.

I just replaced the impeller on my 225, if that in deed is your problem, let me know I can walk you through a replacement. See, that wasn't so bad.

you also could have a bug crawl up the pee hole. Take the cowling off and you can disconnect the tubing from the end adapter. You will need a zip tie to put it back on after you check to see if it is clear. Start the motor with the tubing disconnected to flush out any bugs that may be in there.

Hit it with a blast of air while it is running and see if it clears.
