Default Monster Bass

Fish the Columbia again today. Manage one bite 19 1/2 inch smally weighed and fellet at 4lbs exact. I wasn't satisfied so I thought maybe I could hit up the local Top Secret hole and what do you know 2nd cast and wham! I whipped my heavy action Lamiglas xmg back and this thing felt like a 25lb chinook for about 30 seconds lol. This fish was well over 2ft long and a foot wide across. I thought about running to the mexican meat market to have it officially weighed but for some reason I tossed it back. I knew it wasn't the state record but for sure 10 to 11 lbs easily.
Compare the two fish in the pic a 4lb smally to this beast.
Note: the largemouth is curled in a bit lol....

OMG! What a bass! Holy smokes! One thing I am sure of is that your Top Secret hole is not the Columbia River with a largemouth like that. And that smallmouth ain't nothin to sneeze at either. Great job man!

Thanks guys. It took a lot of time and dedication to catch a fish of this size out of where I fished. I would like to thank todays ugly windy weather I believe it had something to do with todays catch lol....

I won't say but I know where that lake is. I haven't caught any bass there. Tough place to catch fish.

Great fish! Just curious, it sounds as if you weighed the smally........does your scale not go high enough to put that toad on it? Great job!

NAI!!!!!!!!!!
Dang, I was hoping it was the secret lake that I told you about, but looks more like the secret lake that you told me about!
CONGRATULATIONS- that's a HORSE! Might be the biggest fish ever posted in ifish!!? (anybody?). No question- well over ten and I agree- might be pushing eleven- that's awesome- I'm so jealous!
Nice job buddy, couldn't of happened to a nicer or harder-working guy, you deserved every bit of that!

Nice fish! That thing is a pig for sure. Im curious, how does a largemouth of that size fight? Do they ever take some line out?

I had the smally weighed on a really accurate scale but the thing is too big to carry around its like one of those scale you use to weigh fruits at the store.

They definitlely fight, it pulled a bit of line with my curado drag almost tighten to the max, and splash alot but not for too long. Its like they give it their all for about 30 seconds or so then they float lol They might not be the hardest fighting fish pound for pound but they're my favorite fish to catch. Nothing like seeing a really big largemouth jump in front of you head shakin...
