Is that area safe to explore for an agile 6 year old? Im taking him after a sturgeon in the AM off the bank on sauvies island, If I cant produce a shaker or two by noon I was thinking of heading up to Bonneville to show him one. If I could get him into a smallie or two while Im up there that would be cool.

An older gentleman told me about catching smallies up there a couple years ago when we were digging through lures at Fishermans and I have yet to make the trip. Kids are just getting old enough.

Thanks for the post

It's not in my opinion. But Rooster Rock off the bank would be very safe and probably productive too. I used to stop in there on the way back home and always caught a few casting from the bank there.
