Default Safety Gear

Ran into an incident on Saturday that I was very unprepared for and it really got me thinking about what I should have with me at all times ( In both Boats and my truck) so I can be prepared for an emergency (either mine or someone elses). What do you guys keep in:

1. Driftboat

2. Larger Boat (sled)

3. Truck?

The obvious items would be a first aid kit and fire extinguisher. How many of you keep a small chain saw in you driftboat?

In my truck, I keep water, food, flash light, flares, hatchet. In my boat (small inflateable) I keep water, food, flashlight, repair kit, duct tape, compass, matches. I've had to use the repair kit on more than one occasion.

Since I was with Tanner when the vehicle accident was encountered I will give my $0.02. In my vehicles I carry a fire ext, tow strap, first aid kit, blanket, flashlight, matches, shovel, hatchet, rope and tape. It all fits in one of those rubbermaid boxes. It the boat it varies but we were lucky that Moman had his rescue throw rope with him, it was used to keep the doors on the wrecked vehicles open so people could attend to those injured.
