Default Furuno FF question

I am considering a used Furuno FCV 600L I have found at a good price. It comes withan airmar 66 transducer with speedwheel. Anybody have any experience with this unit as a Kokanee/Trout finder? My gut felling is to hold out for a new unit but this one is available $250.00 Thanks in advance SS

I have only had a Furuno FCV585 for a couple weeks and so far I am thrilled. I contacted customer service with a silly question that I could have found on my own if I had taken the time, but their response was very quick and perfectly explained. The 600L only runs 350W RMS where as the replacement 620 runs 600W RMS. I read about them a couple times on another forum and several of the Tournament Kokanee fishermen swore by them. If I did not have the budget for a New 620, I would jump on the used 600L.

I have one I am replacing with a HDS-7. Need a new plotter. The FCV600L has plenty of power. Does not seem to ever get arches, but the transducer I have may have a narrow cone angle. Is a great piece of electronics. Mine is maybe 8 years old and has never had a problem. $250 sounds like a great deal. I was thinking $325 on mine.
