Re: Hike In Lakes?
Rainy lake, Mt Hood National Forest is one of my favorites.
It does live up to it's name generally.
Give it a Google, its near Parkdale.

Re: Hike In Lakes?
My favorite is Burnt Lake, Cast Lake, and Dumbbell Lake (if you hike into it, you will figure out how it got it's name). I believe they are all located in the Mt. Hood Wilderness area now, just outside of Rhododendron, but when I went into them you could drive to Devils Meadow and that was the start of the trail. With the road block off now, it adds another 3 miles to the hike.
This is a moderate hike, but the scenery is terrific and the fishing was fair. Your up in huckleberry country, so the view of the mountain is awesome, so bring you camera. Also if you plan to fish, a flow tube or rubber raft would be handy. You get away from shore and the horseflies will leave you alone.

Rosery Lakes near the Odell Lake area off of highway 58. My buddy usually does a trip every year and they use small blow-up rafts and kick paddle for trolling and catch fat brook trout by the truck loads. I think there are three lake and the biggest one fishes the best.
