Re: M. Channel
Yup, I think I am going to drag some herring around that area up to Coon Island. Maybe even try a prawn or two, I don't know why that wouldn't work? Seems like when I was in that area last year most folks pulled herring unless the water got too fast then a few guys would anchor and run kwikfish. Be good to see you around, I will look for a North River. Good Fishin!!!!!

Re: M. Channel
Fished the mult channel today, team Sneakin Out did not do well other then getting the gear ready for future trips. We were glad to see the FishinMission on the channel and Mrs Mission, they were fishing it hard. We did not see much going on, we did not see a fish caught.

Re: M. Channel
We didn't find any fish today. Saw one caught. Heard of a few others. Said hello to FishinMission and ******?. Saw team Sneakin out, hard to miss your black sled. Jetting fool, bet you run that red 21'? v-8 NR, think I saw you near Santosh. I'll be back out Sunday with NookieMonster and our lucky and talented fishinwomen.

Re: M. Channel
Also fished the channel, saw fishinmission, no springers for us. We left the channel about 10 and went down stream to Columbia City where the sturgeon fishing was hot. Saw a nice 57" caught and quite a few other keepers roped. We caught and released a 44" and about a dozen shakers. One of the hot boats was next to us and was useing fresh clam necks. Have never heard of clam necks for sturgeon but they were doing real well. The best action was during high slack.

Re: M. Channel
Yeah...We're die hard's all right...but I have to say...if you see us out there...then so are YOU!!
Looked to us like we picked the wrong day to go, too.
NADA for us, except for a hungry sturgeon that couldn't resist my killer roll on the herring, and ****** had one takedown that looked pretty good with a prawn/spinner setup. Mrs. Mission continues to be upsetting the fish gods as her dry spell continues.
Good to see you all out there, as that area isn't my usual springer stompin' grounds. I tend to hang in the Milwaukie/Lake Oswego area.

Re: M. Channel
Fished the M. Channel yesterday and my partner caught one nice size native. That was the only fish a saw caught all day long.

Re: M. Channel
Fished Coon Island area Sat. & Sun. Nothing for me (Maroon Willie drift boat). Saw 4 caught Sat. and 3 today. Not one bump for me. Caught one last weekend and actually saw more caught last weekend and a fraction of the boats compared to this weekend. Yes, it's early, but certainly worth a shot.

Re: M. Channel
Was driving around Milwaukie today and the water looked pretty murky. With rain in the forcast for most of the week, it may be awhile before it gets good again. :depressed:

Re: M. Channel
Caught a 15 3/4 lb clipped hen sunday in the channel a couple of miles up from the mouth. Brass bladed green beaded store bought spinner that I had "cleaned" with crest toothpaste. Was running the spinner above a diver that was trailing a plug. Plug was at 13-14 ft., so spinner was at about 10 ft. down. Time was 1:45, about high slack. We started the day at Freds and went out to the Columbia. Lots of boats, no fish marked or seen caught. Lots of boats sturgeon fishing. We marked zero fish in the Coumbia on both sides of the river and finally ran down to St. Helens and started up the channel. We started marking fish right away. Plan on being back in the channel this weekend.

Re: M. Channel
Jelly I run a 19' red North River with black canvas. Sunday's trip confirmed the idea that I should have gone steelhead fishing. Got that skunky feelin again. Saw Finner out there paying some dues too. I'm surprised just how many ifishers were out there. Did anyone hear any Columbia reports?
