I just got back from Newport and jigged for herring. It was a great day once you got on the water and away from the crowd on land. Picked up enough herring to last the year. My two boys had a great time jigging for herring for the first time. Crabbing was a little slow. Picked up three dungenous is all. Good luck on what ever you choose!
