Default Ollie Damons

Want to give props to these wonderful people.
1st time dealing with them, and just got one of my Curados back and it's just like new, and 1 week earlier than expected. Awesome! I just wanted a spring replaced, and got it back with new drags as well.... I think I'm over trying to fix them myself....

You have to love good service!!! I needed a rod clamp for my Penn Graph-Lite GLD30II offshore reel and they had it in stock and sold it to me with a smile!

I too have just had the pleasure of dealing with them for the first time. Picked up a 74 lb thrust Minn Kota for $300.

A great store would be greater if it was on the West Side.
I trust them to do the job right.

Is that the name of the place, "Olie Damons," or just the owner's name? (Or is that like asking if "G I Joe" was a guys name?)

They have fixed all my reels for more then 20 years. Price is fair but anymore with wages high and reels cheap it's hard to justify sending something that isn't pretty good quality.

It's like what my father said when I was talking to him on the phone on my way to Ollie's to pick up my reel. I told him I was going to pick my reel up from the doctor, and explained what I broke and how much it was going to be to replace ($24.00) . He said to me "Why didn't u just go buy another reel? That's when I had to go into detail and explain the theory in spending $200.00 on just 1 reel. He thought I was crazy, and still does. I told him this is the 1st problem I've had w/ it in 3 years..... That's when he realized how big a addict I am to this sport... Some can spend 40 bux on a set-up and fish it 4 times in 3 years and be happy w/ it. For me however, I would blow that piece up the way I fish. I just don't think some people understand

As far as who Ollie Damon is.... Good question. I couldn't tell u if he is man or legend? Didn't ask names when I was there.

It's the busness name.

I've dealt with Olie Daimon for over 25 years and have never been disappointed.

Mr Damons is in a care home, if he is still with us, I talked to him about 3 years ago, he sold out, but kept the name on the business, and I know they were there when my 300 mitchel went south when I was a kid fishing the Sandy at the pipe line hole, back in the early 60's.

If anyone ask where to get a reel fixed, it's there.

That's an interesting bit of history, thanks. In my home town in NC we had the legendary "Gilbert Petty," now deceased, known throughout the region for gun and reel repair and retail sales.

Just a heads up. I learned today that Ollie's is 1 of 2 Factory certified Minn kota repair Facilities in the state. No need to ship them way out.
