Default Kwickfish removed trebles?

Okay, I was told to remove the front treble by somebody and now I have heard remove the back treble. sshheeeet, that leaves none  Koeler says leave both on but add a split ring up front to drop the treble away from the sardine.

What are some of the configurations you all like?

also where can I find Sardine Bait Butter, FM? GIJOES didn't have it.

Gus If I change any thing on them I add a spilt ring to the back hook so there is 2 spilt rings on the back. most of the time I fish them right out of the box.

It is a lot easier to put the bait wrap on if the belly hook is off. It also pays to leave the eye in the lure as it offers a good anchor point for the wrap if you put a small slit in the bait.

thanks.
So that is one vote for 2 trebs and one for removing the front one. The front one gone does make it easier to wrap. I just don't want to miss any fish

Is the idea behind adding the rear split to add a more pivot to the treble or to let it drag farther behind for short hits?

If you leave them both off you are a true sportsman.

Well I have heard some people use velcro , but what on the fish does it stick too?

Once I was flyfishing on the Madison with a Calibatis nymph and after several solid gulper hits I knew I had the right fly, but I was missing the strike. I finally realized I had broke the hook off in the bend and was just doing it for practice.

I don't take bullets hunting either (True story), but if I got my binocs, somebody is shooting.

Unless you just come up with an eye. Me and the brothers first trip down the S. Santiam. Didn't see the hit but knew something happened down there because he had an eye attached to the treb on the plug. The trooper who did the boat safety inspection marveled at our trophy dried to the gunnel. He said, "is that an eye"? We smiled and said yes. At least we had something to show for our maiden voyage down the S. Santiam.

I hit the Delta Park GI Joe's during the sportsmans show when they had guest speakers doing clinics from Team GI Joe's. These are guildes who are sponsored by GI Joe's. Buss Rasmey, who is a rep for Lure Jansen removes the belly hook on all his kwik fish no matter the size. This does make it easier for a bait wrap and the weight of the wrap replaces the removed hook weight to keep in balance and working right.
