Default Ethanol in gas?

I just watched Oregon Field Guide and they discussed the damage caused by Ethanol on outboard fuel systems.

Its an Oregon program so they concentrated on Oregon and mentioned that Oregon mandates Ethanol in gas.

I live in Washington. Does anybody know if Washington gas contains Ethanol? Maybe I shoud know but I dont.

They mention use of an additive to reduce the negative impacts of Ethanol. I give up, what additive?

Thanks

Yes, Washington gas contains Ethynol. I can't remember the name of the additive I put in my boats. If you call a local marina, they can sell it to you. Be warned -- it's expensive but a little goes a very long way.

Remember, Stabil is good stuff but it is not made to last/work forever. Also, adding a can of Seafoam to every tank is a good preventative as well.

stabil is a good product, easy to treat any amount of gas as well. Oregon does have some stations that sell non ethanol gas...you just have to search one out in your area..I know of two in Roseburg, $3.15/gal

Well, I'm OK there. I've been using Stabil Marine since my Seahawk was new.
