Default Crabbing, Garibaldi or Nehalem???

Have heard the crabbing is good at Garibaldi, but I have never gone there myself, always the Nehalem. Does anyone know how it has been? If so, where do you drop your pots at Garibaldi? Does the tide matter?  Also, has anyone been crabbing in the Nehalem??

Thanks for the info!!

I was at Garibaldi on Sunday and it was far from good. It was poor. Most people crab in crab harbor and close to it, which is across from the boat ramp and out towards the ocean a little. When you go by the coast guard station look left and you will see a sea of crab floats over there. You can also crab along the south jetty inside of the big corner along the rocks. It wont take you long to figure out where all the crab pots are in the bay. Good luck if you decide to go. Dont plan on limiting out. We got 38 crabs, but we had a mountain of pots (I mean a big mountain) in the bay to get our 38 crabs.

PTJD- with the heavy rains forecasted for the next 24 hours, I'd expect alot of fresh water in both of those bays which would cause a decline in the crabbing. Maybe Netarts which does not have alot of rivers entering it would be a better choice.
