Default Columbia River Maps

I am looking for good Columbia River and Willamette River chart map(s). I want a fold up chart, not the large flat style, anybody know where to get these. Fisherman's didn't have one.

thanks

Hard to beat the Evergreen River Atlas. Nice book format, easy to pack. Paper clip your fav pages, etc.

Hmmm, I have a pretty good one, but I got it at FMS, maybe they're sold out?

I think it's called a "Fisherman's Map" or something - from the Mouth to Bonneville, & Willamette up to the falls. I wouldn't swear by the depth soundings (though they seem pretty close) but it's a manageable size, and waterproof. All the essential landmarks, buoys, etc. - plus little fishing comments, for whatever those are worth.

The Evergreen Pacific RIVER CRUISING ATLAS, covering the Columbia, Willamette, & Snake Rivers (although not a folding map) came out in a revised edition in 2001 ---- 135 pages; spriral-bound. Available at Captain's Nautical Supply (last spring sold at discount to list price).

The Fish n Map Co. has a good fold up map. The maps are waterproof. I believe this is the same map that Phish_on was refering to. I am unable to find where I stuck mine but think the Lower Columbia map includes the Willamete river. Maybe someone can confirm that. Here is the web address if you are unable to find it in the store, you can order one from them.

Be very cautious with Columbia River maps. Some of them are very old. The USGS updates their info and distributes it on the web - I think on a bi-weekly basis. National Imagery and Mapping Agency Site

It all gets complicated fast, but the point is, the charts are many years old and the sand bars and shoaling change daily, so be careful.

I will check Joes for the map and will keep in mind checking the print dates of the maps to make sure they are up to date.

Thanks a bunch!

Gus, before you spend the $38 bucks, you might consider a trip to the Oregon State Marine Board Office. I was found they have a large supply of maps and areas free for the taking. I have
several. EXAMPLES (1). Oregon Marine Guide, This guide provides information on marinas or facilities to moor a boat and covers the complete state. (2).Boating in Oregon Coastal Waters, covers maps and facilities up and down the complete Oregon coast. Every PORT,ENTRY,AND BAY. (3) The Lower Columbia and Willamette Rivers. They have many more but these three cover most of the waters in the state and they leave nothing out.
*Best of all, it's all free*

Call Bobs in Longview, they have exactley what you want, I own three and know where two are. $5-$6 plus shipping, it folds down to about 5X8n and breaks the river from the mouth to bonneville into 5 sections, shols, pilings , ledges all marked. Just order it and say thanks Fishbait

Gus, Husker, I live in Tualatin and go to Salem every day  I supposed if I received a couple emails requesting a few copies, I would go clean them out. Teh oinly catch would be that I don't want to be a delivery boy becasue I would rather be on the waters fishing.
Lets start a count. Teh books and maps are very well bound and some in color. The price is right and I am willing to gather some as long as I don't get stuck with them.
Bait of Legs cannot have one, He fishes Johnson Creek with his boat and thinks he is in the "Columbia". and he wonders why he has fished so many hours without a hookset.
How many takers and books do I need to pickup?????
