Mercury Ignition Key

Anyone have a direct way to get a "D1" Mercury key?

I was anchoring a my boat yesterday and when I shut the engine off the float caught my pocket and broke off when I stepped forward. I can turn the engine on with a pair of hemostats now but need the keys so if needed in an emergency I have a quick response.

Try and get the broken key piece out of the ignition. I took both pieces of mine to the key-shop and the kid behind the counter just glanced at it and went into the back room and made one. Didn't even have to have either piece to make a new one.
Had my Johnson key replaced here in Longview by the Triangle bowling lanes.

Go to the dealer and they can get you one. 5 bucks in Canada. Went to a few key cutters and they could not do it after many attempts.

I've always got mine at Cascade Marine in Portland. They just go in the back room and pick it off the key board.
