Default Aloha

I wanted to take the advise of the admin and introduce myself as I am new to Ifish. In all honesty I am new to fishing in the northwest. Though I have lived hear over ten years it is only within the last 14 mos that my brother in law and my brother have been able to drag me fishing with them. I find this somewhat shameful except that I guess I never knew what I was missing.

All my fishing experience amounts to three fish landed, one Chinook and two winter Steelhead. The Chinook was caught on the Sol Duc (in the bark hole)and the Steelhead were caught on the Tolt. I am only familiar with the rivers my brothers fish which are all up in Washington either on the peninsula or in the Seattle area. I am hoping that I can make connections through Ifish and begin to learn about fishing in Oregon so I can fish more aften then my ocassional road trip up north.

In case anyone is curious the name I chose is the town that I grew up in on the Big Island in Hawaii.

Welcome!
See, what you need to do, is read every post on ifish. Don't tell your brothers about ifish.
Then.... Take them for the trips of their lives!
You'll be an expert in no time!
(P.S. It hasn't worked yet for me, but I'm still reading!)

I wish I could tell you some stories about fishing in Hawaii. Unfortuantely I did not do any! :depressed:

I have been in Kona on many ocassions to watch them pull out Marlin during some of the larger fishing tournaments. Some of the marlin I have seen have been unbelievably huge! I can't even imagine what fighting fish like those must be like?!

At the time I never realized I was wasting an opportunity. I mean I spent soo much time at the beach surfing and hanging out with the ladies that I'm not sure how much time was actually wasted?!!!
