Default Ran in to two other IFISHERS Sat.

I was out fishing on a lake IN SALEM today. I stoped by two guys fishing to see how they were doing and one of them said are you Roger the Exbassguide. We talked and shared some other fishing spots and lures.
The rain on Friday slowed the bite saturday. But I stuck with it and landed 3 bass none over three pounds. The bass moved back into the shallows but the bite stayed a little slow. It was very nice to meet you two Ifishers in Salem. Very nice guys!
Roger

You know what's funny Roger? I ran into you a couple of years ago at the Celio park near The Dalles. It was early spring and you mentioned the fishing was slow. You can spot those I-fish stickers a mile away.

Roger, made a tour around with my son, wasn't banner fishing but it was good: tried to attatch a pic, not sure if it worked....

1st day large mouth, 15 fish, biggest 5: 19.5 lbs...big fish 4.75
2nd day spotted bass, 17 fish, biggest 5: 23.3 lbs...big fish 4.85
3rd day large mouth, 1 fish, 2.8lbs
4th day (With a buddy) large mouth, 12 fish, biggest 5 17.5..big fish 3.95

My boy caught the 4.85 spot on his first cast the second day, he also caught a 4.78, and a 4.65. he also caught his first swimbait fish on day one, and i couldn't hardly get him to put it down the rest of the day! Most fish caught on jigs, some on senkos, a few on drop shot, and a couple of swimbait fish.

4 different lakes, varied results.

That sounds like a good time. One question, where do u find spots up here? I used to fish Naci down in CenCal and it was full of them. They are fun when u get on em.

That pic looks like Shasta, how low it is. I'm betting Phil fished... Shasta, Clear, Oroville, and Almanor. Just a guess since they're in Nor Cal!! Nice job!!!

I'm still yet to see an ifisher down here... Kinda surprised.

Close, Clear lake, shasta, cooper creek, cottage grove.....one day at each....there was part of a day at another lake in between, but the results are from these lakes, in that order.

That is a great Spot for Shasta. I fish there every year and am heading down at the end of April. What were you catching them on?

I am witness to the Cooper Creek and the Cottage Grove trips that Phil took. Tough day at Cooper Creek for everyone (11 or 12 bass boats and only 3 fish caught). Then we met up with Phil at Cottage Grove, and he proceeded to put on a clinic while my brother and law and I pouned the lake for not one bite. I would love to blame it on the tough weather conditions (High wind and Cold Rain), but Phil caught so many fish that he ruined that excuse for me. Nice catching up with you again Phil! Hopefully we can do that again sometime soon.

Phil, I just LOVE that pic! You should submit that to Bass Pro or Cabela's for consideration for their catalog or website.
That pic speaks of all things American; kids, fishing, patriotism, and baseball. The only thing missing is a slice of apple pie.

thank, I think it's an awesome pic as well...couldn't hardly wipe the smile of his face the entire trip. his thumbs were getting pretty sore, and the only way he could hold those big spots up were with gloves, but couldn't take the smile away!! I'm terrible about taking pictures, I've got a lot of good fishing memories with my dad, and with my son...but not a lot of them burned into film....I've got to do better!!

Chet, enjoyed seeing you, wish the fishing had been a little better overall...especially at cooper creek. offer is standing next time your down this way, I know where we can catch 'em!!

That's gonna rank as one of my all-time favorite pics . Those spots are awesome- makes me want to smother one in plaster and make a mold- is that normal?
