Question Hummingbird 788ci Combo ???

With the many negative reports surrounding the newer Lowrance FF/GPS units I may consider the Hummingbird 788ci Combo.
Do any of you have any experience specifically with the 788ci or Hummingbird generally as to ease of use, reliability or service support.

Thanks for your feed back.

I have a humminbird 788c external GPS antenna and love it! It has been a great unit! If I had to do it over again though, I would have got the side imaging!

I have the 787c2 with the navionics bundle. Simple to use and works great. Ive got no complaints. I had to deal with thier customer service to help me with registration and online updates. They were very helpful and polite.

I plan on getting an external antena for mine. The only complaint I have is that the gps is slow to pick up a signal.
